The bottom is formed from AISI 304 stainless steel with a vacuum PVD coating — fully heat-resistant, rated for boiling water and hot, heavy cookware, which stone alone cannot guarantee. R0 geometry keeps strict 90° inner corners — the bowl reads as a crisp architectural volume rather than a softened shape. The bottom is formed with a gentle slope toward the centre, so water doesn't pool in the corners. ## ALBELA \u00d8140 mm valve A proprietary oversized drain valve in place of the usual \u00d895 mm — with a mechanical odour trap built right into the strainer body. * 2.5–3x larger basket. Holds far more food waste without restricting water flow or needing constant clearing while cooking. * Compact assembly, 115 mm. The odour trap is built into the strainer body — freeing up to 70% of the space under the sink for storage. * Stays sealed when idle. Yes — every item is made for a specific order, so dimensions, finish and lighting are agreed before production starts. Changes affect the price and are confirmed when the invoice is issued. ### What should I do about a scratch or a chip? Solid surface is restored by sanding without removing the item. Light scratches on a matt finish can be taken out with fine-grit sanding; deep damage and gloss finishes are better left to a specialist. ### What is the warranty and can the item be returned? The warranty period is 2 years, with an additional 8-year limited warranty on structural integrity. The service life is 10 years. Items with a manufacturing defect are returned or exchanged at our expense.
