About the piece

The holder is made from the same acrylic stone as ALBELA basins and countertops: styrene-free PMMA resin with an ATH mineral filler. The material is non-porous, so it does not absorb moisture and gives bacteria and odour nothing to settle into; limescale from hard water does not bite into it and comes off with ordinary cleaning.

Unlike chromed metal, stone does not corrode and has no coating to flake off: the pigment runs through the full mass rather than sitting on the surface. An accidental scratch is sanded out with a matting pad in place, without taking the holder off the wall.

The ALBELA logo on the front face is a colour-filled engraving: the mark is cut into the stone rather than printed on top, so cleaning does not wear it away.

Construction
  • One continuous loop. Holder and base are a single element, with no joints to work loose or start creaking.
  • No spring axle. The curve itself holds the roll, so changing it is one movement — no loose parts to lose.
  • Concealed mounting. Fixing runs through an internal bracket; the front face carries no screws and no caps.
  • Fixings for both wall types. The kit covers tile over concrete or brick as well as plasterboard.
  • Silk Touch matt finish. Warm to the touch, and fingerprints and splashes show less on it.
