How to remove stains from solid surfacea chart by stain type — what works and what to avoid

If a stain appears on the surface, the main rule is: don't reach for a harsh abrasive. Solid surface cleans up easily once you match the right product to the specific stain.

Chart

Stain → safe removal → what to avoid

01
Coffee, tea, wine, juice, dyes

✓  A soft sponge with ordinary dish soap. For a set-in stain, use ALBELA Stone Polish polishing paste.

✕  Leaving a stain overnight, scrubbing with a stiff brush.

02
Limescale, soap film

✓  ALBELA Daily Clean spray, or a 1:1 solution of white vinegar (9%) and water.

✕  Aggressive acid-based toilet and pipe cleaners.

03
Rust (from a can, a razor)

✓  A paste of baking soda and water — apply for 5 minutes, wipe off gently. Or a dedicated rust remover.

✕  Metal scourers, dry abrasive powders.

04
Nail polish, paint, marker

✓  Acetone-free nail polish remover on a cotton pad, followed by a thorough rinse with water.

✕  Pure acetone, construction solvents.

If a stain won't budge

When the chart isn't enough

ALBELA solid surface is uniform all the way through, so even a set-in mark or a micro-scratch can be removed by polishing — unlike ceramic or enamel, where a stain is permanent. For daily care, a full list of what to avoid and how to restore the surface, see the full care guide.
